Yannick Schmid, PhD, is Head of Lab at Gerresheimer leading a team working with internal and external partners to ensure that Gerresheimer’s device solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and safety.

With an interdisciplinary background in biology and engineering, Dr Schmid previously worked in a biotech startup on the characterisation and development of liposomes as drug carriers, which built on his PhD and Master’s work in this field.
