Orbia’s Fluor & Energy Materials (F&EM) business is a global developer, manufacturer and supplier of the fluoroproducts that play a fundamental role in shortening the path to a sustainable, circular economy.

Orbia’s Pharma Business Unit has been a major manufacturer and supplier of ultra-high-purity HFA medical propellants since the 1990s, which it produces to the most demanding industry standards at dedicated facilities. Zephex® medical propellants are used in around 75% of the world’s pressurised metered dose inhalers (pMDIs).

Beyond medical propellants, Orbia F&EM products are used in a range of applications, including electric vehicles and energy storage, urban and rural infrastructure, indoor climate management, and food and medicine refrigeration.

Orbia F&EM is part of the giant Mexican chemicals and plastics company, Orbia, and has 1,700 employees and eight manufacturing facilities worldwide, serving 60 countries through a global sales and distribution network.
